Informational translations

The English privacy policy is the controlling version. Localized versions are available for easier review.

CueNotch is built with privacy as a core principle. Your scripts, rehearsal content, captions, and camera/audio signals are handled only as needed to provide the features you turn on.

What we collect

  • Your email address and account identifier for sign-in
  • A device identifier for license checks, free-trial eligibility, and free-tier activation limits
  • License, trial, purchase, and daily activation status so we can unlock the correct feature set
  • Your calibrated speaking speed if you complete onboarding or update it in the app
  • Script text, folders, memorization progress, and app settings stored locally on your Mac

Purchase and Subscription Information

To verify, restore, and manage CueNotch Pro access, we may process limited App Store purchase information, including:

  • The purchased product identifier
  • Apple transaction and original transaction identifiers
  • A pseudonymous app account token associated with your CueNotch account
  • Whether the transaction occurred in Apple's sandbox or production environment
  • Subscription status and expiration date
  • Renewal, billing-retry, grace-period, refund, and revocation status

We use this information to provide Pro access, restore purchases, associate a purchase with the correct CueNotch account, prevent unauthorized reuse of purchases, respond to support requests, and process subscription status changes.

Apple processes the payment itself. CueNotch does not receive or store your payment-card number, bank details, Apple Account password, or complete billing information.

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not record or store microphone, camera, or system audio from CueNotch sessions
  • We do not upload your scripts, folders, memorization notes, or rehearsal content to CueNotch servers
  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We do not use advertising trackers

Local app features

Voice scrolling uses your microphone only while the prompter is running. AutoCaption captures system audio only while you turn it on, then passes audio to Apple's speech recognition services available on your Mac to generate live captions. Rehearsal Coach uses the camera only during rehearsal to estimate delivery cues such as posture, framing, and cadence. CueNotch does not save those audio or camera streams.

Magic Polish and Apple Intelligence

Magic Polish uses on-device rewriting when Apple Intelligence is available and falls back to local rule-based processing when it is not. CueNotch does not send your script text to CueNotch servers for Magic Polish.

Third-party services

  • Convex (backend infrastructure) — stores account, license, trial, activation, and deletion status needed to run the service
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, Apple Intelligence, Speech Recognition, and system frameworks) — handles those services under Apple's own privacy terms

Data deletion

You can delete your account from CueNotch Settings. Account deletion removes server-side account and license records tied to that account, signs you out, and clears local account data on that Mac. Device-scoped trial history may be retained to prevent repeated free-trial abuse. You can also email founderaivora@gmail.com with subject “Delete my data”.
