I used to glance at notes during Zoom calls and everyone could tell. CueNotch made it invisible. My manager even commented on how much more engaged I seem.

As a YouTuber, eye contact is everything. CueNotch in the notch is genius — my scripts are literally next to the camera lens. Game changer.

The voice-activated scrolling is surprisingly accurate. I don't have to think about pacing at all — it just follows me. And it's completely free!

Frequently asked questions

What is CueNotch?
CueNotch is a macOS teleprompter that displays your script inside the MacBook notch — the small black area at the top of your screen where the camera lives. This means your eyes naturally look at the camera while reading, giving your audience the impression of direct eye contact.
Does it work without a notch (older MacBooks)?
Yes! On Macs without a notch, CueNotch displays as a compact overlay at the top-center of your screen, still close to the camera for natural eye contact.
Is CueNotch visible during screen sharing?
With Ghost Mode (Pro), CueNotch is completely invisible to Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and any other screen sharing tool. Free users can also toggle visibility manually.
How does voice-activated scrolling work?
CueNotch uses Apple's native speech recognition running entirely on your device. It listens to your microphone and scrolls the script to match your speaking pace — no internet, no cloud processing, 100% private.
Does CueNotch send my scripts to any server?
No. Everything runs locally on your Mac. Your scripts, voice data, and usage are never sent anywhere. The only network request is an optional one-time license verification.
What's included in the free version?
The free tier includes 3 daily activations, scripts up to 100 words, voice-activated scrolling, hotkey controls, and the built-in script editor. It's great for trying CueNotch before upgrading.
What does the $29 Lifetime Pro license include?
Unlimited daily activations, unlimited script length, Ghost Mode (invisible to screen share), AI Humanize (rewrites scripts to sound natural), Liquid Pulse (animated voice-reactive border), emotion-aware color highlighting, and priority support. One payment, no subscriptions.
Can I use CueNotch on multiple Macs?
Each license is tied to one device. If you need to transfer your license to a new Mac, contact support and we'll help you move it instantly.
What macOS version do I need?
CueNotch requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. It supports both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel processors.
How do I activate my Pro license?
After purchasing, you'll receive a license key via email. Open CueNotch, go to Settings or the upgrade prompt, paste your license key, and click Activate. It takes 5 seconds.
