Why the notch

On a video call, the camera sits at the top of the screen. Everything you need to read sits below it: your notes, your slides, the faces of the people you're talking to. Every glance down shows, and it reads as unprepared, even when you know the material cold.

On a MacBook, the notch is dead space around the camera. CueNotch turns it into a teleprompter and puts your script as close to the lens as software can, so reading your notes and looking at the camera become the same movement.
