About CueNotch

How we review Mac teleprompters

We make CueNotch and we also publish comparisons of other Mac teleprompters, so read every one of those with that in mind. We say so on each comparison page, and we link to official product sites, App Store listings or source code wherever we can.

The six checks

Every app gets checked on the same six things.

  • Where the script sits

How close it is to the Mac's camera, and what your eyes do while you read.

  • How it scrolls

Voice scrolling or speech tracking, and what happens when you pause or skip.

  • Screen-share privacy

Whether the prompter shows up in shares and recordings.

  • What it runs on

macOS versions and the hardware it needs.

  • What it costs

Current public pricing, and how you can try it first.

  • The tools around it

Script prep, rehearsal, captions and keeping things organised.

Corrections and updates

Software changes fast. Comparison pages show when they were last checked, and current official sources win over old pricing, launch posts or third-party summaries. Spot something wrong or out of date? Tell us and we'll check it and fix it.
