Notes for a Teams call, where your eyes already are
A Teams meeting window fills most of the screen, and the faces you are talking to sit well below the camera. Notes in another window, a sticky note, or a second monitor pull your eyes even further from the lens, and on a share they can end up in front of everyone.
CueNotch keeps the notes at the top of the screen, next to the camera:
- Beside the camera: in the notch on a MacBook that has one, or as a small bar at the top centre on a Mac that does not.
- Out of the share: with Ghost Mode on, the overlay is excluded from screen capture, so Teams cannot show it or record it.
- At your pace: the text follows your voice and waits while someone else is talking.
The free tier is enough to try it today. Three activations a day and 100-word scripts covers one real Microsoft Teams call.

Write five bullets, not a speech
Paste them into CueNotch. Short lines are easier to glance at mid-sentence.
Turn on Ghost Mode
It keeps the overlay out of what Teams shares. Ghost Mode is a Pro feature.
Join the meeting and press Cmd+Shift+Space
The notes appear beside the camera.
Share a screen or a window
In Teams, choose Share and pick your screen or a single window. With Ghost Mode on, sharing the whole screen is safe.
Check the share once
Teams outlines what you share with a red border but does not show you a preview. Join from your phone, or ask a colleague, and confirm the notes are not there.
Talk
When someone else speaks, the notes wait for you.
Teams details worth knowing
The first time you share your screen from Teams on a Mac, macOS asks you to allow screen recording for Teams in System Settings and then to reopen Teams. Do it before the meeting, not while people are waiting.
If you present a deck through PowerPoint Live in Teams, Teams already shows you your speaker notes privately. CueNotch is for everything else: a call with no slides, a live demo in another app, or a full-screen share where PowerPoint Live does not apply.
Background blur and other video effects do not touch CueNotch. The notes are on your screen, not in your video.

Your scripts and voice stay on the Mac
Voice-synced scrolling runs on the Mac and scripts are stored there. CueNotch does not send your talk track or microphone stream anywhere so that someone else can feed you lines. Ghost Mode uses the macOS capture-exclusion setting, which is why a full-screen share stays clean. Check once anyway before an important call.

Questions
Can people in the Teams meeting see my notes?
Not with Ghost Mode on. The overlay is excluded from macOS screen capture, so Teams cannot share or record it. You still see it on your display. Check once from a second device before an important call.
Does it work with both the Teams app and Teams in a browser?
Yes. Ghost Mode works at the macOS level, so it applies whether you use the Teams app or Teams in Safari or Chrome.
Do I still need it if I present with PowerPoint Live?
Not for the slides themselves, because PowerPoint Live already shows you your notes privately. CueNotch helps when there is no deck, when you share another app, or when you want the notes beside the camera rather than under the slides.
Look at the camera on Teams. Keep your notes.
Teams calls are where most people read from something. CueNotch moves that something next to the camera and keeps it out of the share.
